INFINITE INSPIRATION- TO THE STARS
24th February,2024 was a fantastic and a
fabulous day for the ‘Mater Deiyans’ to showcase
their inherited and acquired talents in various
fields- Language, Science, Math, Social and Art&
Craft.
ONCE UPON A TIME ………………… In London,
the Venue for English literature, was filled with
Shakespearean genres and literary characters
from his plays. Models of Globe theatre and
Senate house was displayed.
Shakespeare, the senior welcomed the Bishop
Mar Paul Alappat, His Excellency along with the
correspondent Rev. Father Martin
Patturumadathil, Rev. Father Fabin Neelankavil,
Principal Mrs G. Pandiselvi and guests of honour.
The Red Carpet welcome was given by the
Puppet Show – THE WOW TIME astounded the
guests and the invitees. The event was followed
by the introduction of the famous literary
characters from the Shakespearean plays.
There came CLEOPATRA- THE IMMORTAL
BEAUTY of all times, who fascinated the heroes
of Universal history by her beauty and fragrance.
With no pause, LADY MACBETH – DELINQUENT
DAME, a powerful literary character was
introduced, who was known for casting away her
feminity and wished to imbibe the anti-feminine
character by plotting plans to kill the Emperor
Duncan which leads to the fall of Macbeth. The
clinical disorders like soliloquy, Somnambulism
and illusion which was well portrayed by Shakespeare, was given life by the apt enactment
of the learner
All the plays of Shakespeare, tried to fulfill the
needs of the readers. SPECTACULAR SENORITAPORTIA, who embodies the virtues that are
typical of Shakespearean heroines unveiled her
quick- witted nature by her timely intervention
to save Antonio through her war of words in
front of the audience.
The unique SONNET- THE PRIVATE
PICTURESQUE which was written in Iambic
Pentameter was displayed and well explained.
The learners exhibited the model of GLOBE
THEATRE – NEVER SAY NOPE FOR GLOBE, was
well arranged with stage and gallery.
The replica of THE SENATE HOUSE- exemplified
the assassination of JULIUS CAESAR and pleased
the guests.
The library- IT’S A BOOKY TIME was well
organised with books to enhance the importance
of reading among the learners as well as the
inivitees. Bulletin boards were decorated with the
Shakespearean plays of different genres like
Antony & Cleopatra, Henry IV & V, Hamlet,
Romeo and Juliet, As you like it, The tempest &
Othello.
